The tracklisting for the new Burlesque movie starring Christina Aguilera and Cher has been revealed today.
Aguilera - who stars in the Steve Antin musical film herself as Ali Rose - recorded eight of the twelve songs featured on the accompanying soundtrack.
Cher (who plays the character of Tess) then offers two tracks - Welcome to Burlesque and You Haven't Seen The Last Of Me.
Their co-stars Kristen Bell (Nikki) and Allan Cumming (Alexis) also recorded the solo songs Long John Blues and That's Life respectively - which is released November 16 in the US - a week prior to the movie reaching theaters on November 24.

I watched Christina, an incredible singer and dancer with one of the most exceptional voices I’ve ever heard, change before my eyes into a fine actress. It was wonderful to see that happen. Of course, me being me, I had to give her one tiny bit of advice. It was in the scene in which Tess says, “OK I’m going to build the show around you.” There was a close-up on Christina, and though she had a beautiful look on her face, I knew she had more to give. I went up to her and said, “Christina, this is the moment you’ve been waiting for all your life. Not your character’s life, but yours. It’s now or never.” Moments later I watched her pull years of tears out of those baby blue eyes. Yeah! I know this beautiful child can go as far, and as deep, as she wants to go. I’m proud of her and I am proud to be in this film with her.

David Guetta has reportedly expressed plans to work on a song with Christina Aguilera for his new album.

The French DJ and producer, whose record is due out next summer, said that he is keen to feature Aguilera's 'powerful' voice on the LP.

Record quotes Guetta as saying that people will go "crazy" for his next album and that he is still awaiting permission from Aguilera's label for the pair to work together.

The star also revealed that he has finished nine tracks for the record, saying: "Making music for me is not working, is my daily occupation. I have more than nine songs made for the new disk, [but] it's like wine: you have to let them breathe for people to taste and see."

Collaborations with Usher and will.i.am are also rumored to feature on the LP.

Guetta will release a deluxe edition of his latest album One Love later this year.

US: Sounds like a vampire's dream!

CK: That's another thing -- she loves vampires too! I'm still trying to convince her to watch True Blood. She's just been too busy!

US: How did you discover your mutual fascination with vampires?

CK: I don't even know how the conversation came up! I'm sure I was raving about True Blood. 1997: A year the Spice Girls dominated charts worldwide, spreading their message of ‘Girl Power’.

The year that Labour took office with Tony Blair as the mascot to a ‘change’ after over a decade of Tory triumphs.

The year that digital entertainment was introduced to the world.

The year when internet broadband went into beta-testing.

A year when a 15-year-old girl having left the confines of the Mickey Mouse Club had ventured out to secure herself a recording contract. To secure her dream.

This girl arrives with Steve Kurtz, her manager to the venues housing Mercury Records, Jive/Zomba Records, Sony Worldwide, Interscope & many more.

She gets rejected over & over again, until it becomes the standard conclusion of her showcase.

The executives claim that they have too many that sound like her. Too many that look like her. She’s just another wannabe with no real potential of longevity to survive the ruthless multi-billion dollar industry that conceived & birthed the likes of the late Michael Jackson, Madonna, The Beatles, & of course the current successes of the time, the Backstreet Boys.

The 15-year-old girl was expected to absorb the rejection & head back to her hometown of Pittsburg.

An executive asks the 15-year-old what her name is so that he can sign her out of the building, whilst commiserating about the unsuccessful showcase she just delivered.

Through the skin of a 15-year-old & the eyes of a woman she replies: “Christina Aguilera”.

Those that didn’t ‘get it’ made a big mistake.

However Ron Fair understood exactly. A&R guy to RCA Records, Aguilera signed with them in late 1997 & began a collective during 1998.
It was also the year that a fellow mousketeer had signed her privacy away for the chance to turn her name into an empire. Another 15-year-old; Britney Spears.

Jive Records were keen to capitalise on their potential protege so Spears was flown to Sweden to team up with Max Martin to write & produce her debut album.

Spears made her debut during 1998 with her lead single “Baby One More Time…” She quickly played the pied piper to the mass teenage audience, exhausted & bored with the mid-nineties grunge rock scene.

Aguilera meanwhile had almost completed her own album to launch her into the A-list stratosphere, & whilst had observed the Spear-mania achieve global-status was unaffected.

RCA didn’t share the same nonchalence Aguilera so calmly wore.

“What A Girl Wants” was to be Aguilera’s 1999 debut single, but Ron Fair wasn’t certain. Aguilera’s intention had been throughout to showcase her extensive vocal range & had began the journey to record material to achieve just that.

The arrival of Spears had changed the game however, & hence RCA made a final attempt to find ‘the’ song.

David Kipner, Pam Sheyne & David Frank had meanwhile been shopping their demo to various labels. Whilst most labels rejected their song “If You Wanna Be With Me”, Ron Fair once again – just ‘got it’.

Convincing Aguilera this was to be the lead song, reluctantly she went back behind the mike to record the newly titled “Genie In A Bottle”.

It wasn’t what she wanted. This wasn’t going to work. She had previously recorded the soundtrack to the Disney film “Mulan”, which hadn’t been as successful as hoped. Was “Genie In A Bottle” really going to make Aguilera’s dreams come true?

Aguilera debut at number 1 with ‘Genie In A Bottle’ in 23 countries whilst making the top 5 in every country it was released in.

It became the highest played song on digital radio in history. Aguilera still holds that record. Billboard 100 also saw Aguilera’s debut album reach number 1, which went onto sell over 17 million copies worldwide.

The rivalry between Spears & Aguilera concocted by the media was a blessing in driving the corporate brand that Aguilera was becoming.

The dream Aguilera had wanted to materialise had truly become a tale musicians would reference time & time again. She had made it.

Aguilera however didn’t think so. This wasn’t her dream. This was the nightmare she had been warned about.

Styled on the likes of Spears, singing songs about teenage love & heartbreak alongside wearing outfits calculating how much skin Aguilera showed was all that was ideal. All that was American. All that was preferrable. All that Aguilera wasn’t.

Aguilera decided to take a 3 year hiatus allowing Spears to take centre stage of the circus that had began at their debuts.

2002 was mark two for Aguilera.

‘Dirrty’ was bankrolled by the RCA executives onto screens worldwide. The message was of shock, horror, disgust, even disappointment but was that the intention?

Aguilera saw the harsh reality of the double-standards of the music industry & retaliated in the best way she knew. “Stripped” was released in October 2002 & with hits like ‘Beautiful’, ‘Fighter’ & of course ‘Dirrty’ it went onto sell a staggering 21 million copies worldwide parrelling that to a sold-out world tour.

Aguilera was back & had taken the throne. Having fired her manager Steve Kurtz, Aguilera was no longer concerned with image, sales & the niche market that had propelled her to super-stardom.

Aguilera was carving out her legacy, one song at a time. No-one would be left without an opinion of her: good or bad.

After her wedding to Jordan Bratman, Aguilera was ready to make mark three.

“Back To Basics” saw Aguilera transition from a hyper-sexualised domantrix to the glamourous Hollywood Queens of the yester-years.

The double-disc album sold over 15 million copies worldwide & again spawned a sold-out world tour.

Spears meanwhile had been married & divorced twice. Lost custody of her children, been admitted into psychiatric care & seen her twice enter rehab.

The comparisons have all of course stopped. Aguilera is now the true heir to the throne Madonna struggles to relinquish, but Aguilera has to be compared to someone. Has to be measured. Has to be understood. Who or what would be used as the barometer?

Lady Gaga; the new contender for a place in the Music Hall of Fame.

Gaga makes no trajectory in allowing the masses to warm to her. She takes over from where Aguilera left off after “Stripped” in 2002.

Columnists & reporters challenge Aguilera again for the duel that once made her into the shrewd business woman she is. How would she fair in being compared once again to another female?

Calmly Aguilera ignites herself ready for mark four.

“Bionic” is released during June 2010 & sees her debutting again at number one. The super sexed up single ‘Not Myself Tonight’ achieves mass radio-play & invites the critics to trash her.

Comparisons begin immediatley with Lady Gaga to Madonna to Janet Jackson. Aguilera remains defiant, calm & oddly coy.

Aguilera never revisits an area already covered so why has she returned to empower & symbolise female sexuality when that’s what she did with “Stripped”?

Aguilera has learnt that what began in the late 1960′s has truly reached it’s exhausted, battered end. The Sexual Revolution is dying. Nothing is left to shock.

Just like Lady Gaga, infamous for her minimal expressions & sexless appeal, Aguilera has decided to bid homage to an era that set her apart. An era that no longer holds the same tenacity it once did. An era that was promoted & reigned by Madonna.

Fans & critics alike agree that Aguilera truly has her place in history, & whereas she may not represent the all-american girl next door, she represents women. Real women. No drama, no fuss, no agenda, it’s simply Christina Aguilera.

Aguilera has certainly reached her tenure as a musical icon & has earned her badges to dictate her artistry & discography, but is the world ready for a woman who defies female boundaries?

Spears may be the favoured personality of the global audience, but Aguilera is the strongest contender for the status of legend.

Funny how the same was said about Billie Holiday & Janis Joplin, yet decades after their departure, it’s them whom we remember.

It was great, she was wonderful, but she never made a movie before. There were certain things that she just didn’t know, just technical things that she didn’t know. But, you know, you learn them pretty quickly, and God knows she’s a performer. I’ve never seen anything like that. Staggering, her singing and dancing. She’s this sweet little…she’s this big [places flat hand about three feet above the floor]. It was weird. They were like, “There’s Christina Aguilera,” I was like, “Where? That child?” She’s very sweet, very quiet and then she starts to sing and dance and you’re like, “Where the fuck did that come from?” I’ve never seen anything like it. That was Cher, being modest about her role in the hugely anticipated "Burlesque" movie. Cher is always modest.

I managed to scrape this little bit of info from the one-and-only Cher in the most nefarious way. While dining out with Liz Rosenberg, who reps the eternal star, Liz’s cell phone rang. She looked at it and said, "It’s Cher." And before anybody could say "It’s none of your business," I plucked the phone from Liz’s hand and said, "Hi, Cher, this is the other big Liz in your life!"

So, we laughed a bit, and she sounds terrific – full of energy. As we spoke of her stellar qualities, I did mention that the poster for "Burlesque" is a dramatic and glam two-shot of Christina and herself. "Do you still insist you are not the star?" I said. She replied, "Well, it’s not like it’s me alone. Christina’s there. Are you trying to make trouble, Hedda?" (Cher knows her Hollywood history. Indeed, she might have even encountered Hedda Hopper during the heady early days of Sonny & Cher.)

Reluctantly, I gave the phone back to Miss Rosenberg, though I extracted a promise from Cher for something "excloosive" soon.

Though she's been married to Jordan Bratman for nearly five years, Christina Aguilera says not much has changed since she first began dating the music exec in 2002.

"Marriage unites you and makes you official, but it didn't change our relationship. All the things like wanting to work hard and play hard -- they were always important to us," she tells the October issue of Cosmopolitan UK. "We've been married for five years now, and I think the secret is in always keeping it interesting. You have to make time for yourselves."

So how does Aguilera let her man know she cares?

"I leave little lipstick marks on the bathroom mirror for when he wakes up, and little notes written in lipstick on the mirror and in the shower," she says. "Little notes, little cards, little 'I love yous' here and there, just to keep things fun and alive."

Still, the "Not Myself Tonight" singer admits that even the most loving marriages require effort -- and a lot of patience.

"It's important to be open to growing together, and when the going gets tough, you have to see how you can make your relationship more special and how you can spend more quality time together," Aguilera says. "Everyone has rough patches, everybody grows and we all change. It's important to give each other room to grow and to accept them for who they are."

These days, Bratman isn't the only man in Aguilera's life. Since giving birth to her son Max in 2008, the 29-year-old singer admits that motherhood has helped strengthen her relationship with her husband.

"Having Max has brought us closer together," she says. "[Jordan] changed the first nappy while I was in bed recovering from my C-section -- and he's been so hands-on ever since. When I see them together it makes my heart sing and melt at the same time."

Alan Cumming: Well Lucas, I too am looking forward to Burlesque. I saw a few of the big numbers being shot and they sounded and looked really amazing. I don't know about the soundtrack in terms of numbers of songs, and I am sure that since the film is still being edited there will not be a final list available yet. But I do remember a crazy good power ballad that Christina sings in the middle of the film that will rock your socks off. Now say five Hail Marys and be good boy.

Christina Aguilera is hitting the big screen for the first time this fall in "Burlesque," and the full-length trailer for the Screen Gems drama popped up on the Web today. The film finds Aguilera playing Alice, a small-town girl with hopes of becoming a famous dancer, as well as Cher taking on a motherly role.

"When you're putting on your make-up it's like you're an artist, but instead of painting a canvas, you're painting your face," Cher wisely tells Aguilera in one of the scenes. The legendary diva co-stars as the burlesque club owner Aguilera wants to work for. The initially shy Alice has a hard time proving she belongs on stage, but once X-tina shows off those pipes, it's officially show time.

"Burlesque," which also stars Stanley Tucci, Kristen Bell and Peter Gallagher, is set to hit theaters Nov. 24.

The trailer for "Burlesque" hit the web today (see it after the jump!), and if all that statement inspires is an "Oh, that Christina Aguilera movie?" response, then prepare to be impressed. I've been a fan of Christina's music for a while, but either because of the shoddy quality of the trailer that I watched or the fact that she might actually have some acting chops in her film debut, it honestly took me a while to realize that lead character Ali Rose was the lady behind "Fighter" and "Beautiful."

That is, until she gets a chance to sing.

But first, that cast! I melt every time I see Eric Dane's face on the big (or small screen), so having him play Ali's love interest was brilliant casting for at least the "Grey's Anatomy" crowd (and hopefully anyone with a brain, because there's a reason he's McSteamy). And then there's Cam Gigandet, who plays a guy who works at the burlesque bar Ali finds in Los Angeles, and I think we have more hot men than we can handle in one film.

Add that to Oscar winners Cher (who is in her element here, so don't be frightened off) and Stanley freakin' Tucci. This guy's got it all, and could act his way out of a can of peas, so seeing him just made my day that much brighter. And then, as if those four weren't enough, you've got Kristen Bell, Julianne Hough (yes, from the "Footloose" remake), Peter Gallagher and Alan Cumming, and you've got a great, great, great cast.

I'm not discounting what looks like it could be a good performance from Christina, either. As I mentioned earlier, it's her first time ever in a film, so this could definitely make or break her (hello Mariah and Britney). But I like the idea of Christina going back to what worked for her before on film (of course I mean "Moulin Rouge") and making it her own. She has an amazing voice, and really she seems like the perfect choice to be starring in this film. I am excited for November 24.

Christina Aguilera plays your typical small-town girl with dreams of making her way into showbiz. So, of course, she gets a waitressing job at an L.A. burlesque club run by Cher, which allows Xtina to display her Grammy-winning pipes. And voilà, stardom!

With an all-star cast including Twilight's evil vamp Cam Gigandet, Kristen Bell and Stanley Tucci, plenty of corsets and risqué choreography, this kinda looks like the Lady Marmalade video, except two hours long.

It's been a while since Christina Aguilera was an up-and-coming artist on the pop-music scene, and even back then, she didn't struggle for long. Her debut album hit the #1 Billboard spot and went platinum eight times.

But Aguilera's starring turn in "Burlesque" thrusts the 29-year-old back into the role of aspiring artist, and as the movie's first trailer shows, Aguilera has taken to the portrayal quite well.

Our first glimpse of Xtina comes as she books a one-way bus ticket out of her small town and toward the bright lights and skimpy outfits of Los Angeles. She lands at a nightclub run by none other than Cher and fights her way onto the stage and in front of an audience as a burlesque performer.

"When you are putting on your makeup, it's like you're an artist, but instead of painting a canvas, you're painting a face," Cher explains.

The trailer gives us a glimpse of Aguilera's attempts to convince Cher to give her a shot to perform, her burgeoning relationship with Cam Gigandet, her rivalry with Kristen Bell and, of course, her crazy vocal abilities.

"It's sexy, it's sensual," Aguilera said of the film last month. "The whole idea of burlesque has always intrigued me. The art of the tease, the dance, beautiful women — need I say more?"

Though "Burlesque" marks Xtina's feature-film debut, director Steven Antin revealed she didn't have any trouble getting the hang of a movie set. "She figured out how it works within weeks," he said. "She is a little bit of a freak of nature and a perfectionist. This girl is a movie star."

Aguilera will perform at the Sept. 25 grand opening celebration of the museum's Lynda and Stewart Resnick Pavilion, described by LACMA as "the largest purpose-built, naturally lit, open-plan museum space in the world."

The 29-year-old pop star said she's honored to help celebrate the 45,000-square-foot exhibition building, which was designed by Renzo Piano.

The gala fundraiser is open to the public. Individual tickets are $5,000 to $10,000 and tables are available for $25,000 to $100,000.

From dance pop princess to diva-like songstress, Christina Aguilera has always been about change. Her new CD "Bionic" is no different. Image wise, Aguilera certainly sheds more clothing this time than on previous outings. Lyrically and thematically, well, the 29-year-old leaves little to the imagination.

In a sexed-up rubber-and-leather look, "Bionic" takes Aguilera into new aural territory. From the opening title track, its evident that Xtina is favoring drum machine powered beats and tight, rap-like rhymes over melodies.

Drenched in electro-sounds, she declares I’m not the same girl in the club-ready track “Not Myself Tonight” while kicking up the heat further in the sexually charged “Woohoo,” featuring hip hop artist Nicki Minaj.

At times sounding unrecognizable, like in the quirky and vocally modulated track “Elastic Love,” she works themes of sex in almost every track—more so in “Desnudate,” a beat-heavy number complete with heavy breathing and “aahs” from Aguilera.

The highly listenable “I Am” and the soulful “You Lost Me” still hint at a diva with the golden pipes but the rest is certainly a new phase for Aguilera. And with suggestive tracks like “Morning Dessert” and the R&B flavored “(Sex) for Breakfast,” the album also comes with a parental advisory warning.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Cher and Christina recently shot their November-due film, “Burlesque,” about a small town girl (Xtina), who moves to LA and starts work and becomes the center of drama at a burlesque club, run by a former dancer (Cher).

Cher also praised her other co-stars including Kristen Bell, “Grey’s Anatomy” star Eric Dane and “Dancing with the Stars” pro and country cutie, Julianne Hough.

“K bell kicks a** ! She is smoking,” Cher wrote of Kristen, who plays Christina’s rival, Nikki. “Julianne has a great sensitivity ! Eric well I’ve known him since he was a teenager I’m proud!”

Cam Gigandet also got a Tweet shout out from the superstar as did Peter Gallagher, who are also part of the cast.

“Cam has got chops,” she wrote. “Peter Gallagher never stops creating! Hope I don’t seem like stupid Divia Just observations.”

Cher, who won an Oscar for “Moonstruck” in 1987, added that filming the project wasn’t easy, especially with all the stars.

“The meaning behind the album title Bionic is very layered. It means to me having bionic body parts, in particular the vocal cords are highlighted in the album art work. There’s a little songbird in there that’s singing through metal pipes and there happens to be horns and a speakerphone. It’s a very cool and complicated drawing by D*Face, one of my favorite graffiti artists. And then you have Bionic coming from the notion of just being super highly electronically charged and excited for the future. And also it’s the way I see women. We are superhuman in so many ways. We give birth, we give life, we do it all, and I mean we wear many different hats. It features songs co-written by Aguilera along with her much buzzed about collaborations including Sia, Tricky Stewart, Le Tigre, Hill & Switch, and Ladytron among others including the carrier single Not Myself Tonight, a fiercely energetic anthem produced by Polow Da Don.

“Not Myself Tonight is all about freeing yourself, freeing your inhibitions, freeing whatever’s inside of you that you’ve been holding back or maybe a little afraid to let loose of. It’s got a little rebellion to it but it’s all in good fun and it’s just really a ‘free yourself’ anthem,” Aguilera said.

Christina Aguilera is back in the spotlight after a four-year break with her new hit album Bionic and the upcoming movie ‘Burlesque,’ and the multiple-Grammy winner reveals to ET’s own Kevin Frazier whether or not she plans to expand her family!

“Bionic is definitely my baby at the moment,” says Christina. “Eventually, in the future, I do want to expand on my family and have another one, but for now, Bionic is the baby and ‘Burlesque’ is the other baby.”

“I couldn’t be happier about … the fact that the album’s inspired by my son, and the future, and the feeling of the movement of electronica music, in a sense,” says Christina, “but still maintaining that rawness of having those definite ballads that evoke that pure, honest emotion. … Being able to just pour my heart out into the beauty and emotion of a song is very important to me.”

What kept her from the spotlight for so much time? Christina explains: “The first year we spent touring, getting pregnant, living that out, becoming a mother, taking the first year to sort of do the mom thing, feel what that’s really like, and then be inspired for my new record. Then I accepted the movie ‘Burlesque,’ and that was almost a year away from the public eye.”

Christina stars opposite Cher, Kristen Bell, Eric Dane, Alan Cumming, Julianne Hough and more in the upcoming big-screen musical, in theaters this November, and she says of the ‘Burlesque’ experience, “Acting is a completely different animal, but it definitely is something — it gave me a lot of tools to now use in my world of music.”

And Christina says that when she goes home at night after work, her two-year-old son Max with hubby Jordan Bratman gets all the attention a child deserves from a loving mother: “I sing my son to sleep with ‘Mary Poppins’ [songs],” she says, “and rock and cradle him and cover him up in bed and do really silly things that we won’t even mention.”

After slithering her slinky self through countless music videos, pop siren Christina Aguilera will sizzle on movie screens for the first time this fall in the song-filled fantasy Burlesque.

Her Ali might be a showbiz staple as old as greasepaint: a plucky gal from Iowa who runs off to the big city to follow her dreams and lands a job at a struggling nightclub.

Yet it was her character's heart and grit that caught her eye. Says Aguilera, 29, who has been candid about her own childhood travails: "It wasn't just a girl who comes to L.A. and makes it big. It was a girl who had suffered and felt pain, been in seven foster homes. She doesn't let her past make her a victim. And that to me was so appealing."

Director/writer Steven Antin was impressed by how quickly Aguilera adapted to a new type of performing. "She figured out how it works within weeks. She is a little bit of a freak of nature and a perfectionist. This girl is a movie star."

The novice actress found the perfect mentors in such castmates as Cher, who hasn't had a major film role since 1999's Tea With Mussolini, and Stanley Tucci, recent Oscar nominee for The Lovely Bones.

"I love no-bull-(expletive) women, and she's the best of the best," Aguilera says of Cher, who plays Tess, owner of The Burlesque Lounge. "An original trendsetter in her time and a legend in mine. I found her kind and warm. She had helpful advice and stories for days."

As for Tucci, whose gay stage manager once had a fling with Tess, "he's such a professional and hilarious to be around."

Aguilera's famous pipes get a workout, along with her legs ("I've never danced so much in my life"). She wrote four songs for the soundtrack and does an Etta James oldie.

While music will always be her first love, Aguilera is keen on continuing to act if Burlesque manages to seduce the public. "I think people will definitely feel energized and excited."

If you are into R&B music and would like to get the new releases you will enjoy the most, here are some tips about the latest by the biggest names of the genre.

Bionic by Christina Aguilera. I had always seen Christina Aguilera as a bridge. She is the one who connects Madonna with Beyoncé because she is not afraid of innovation and has the vocal chops for power singing.

Now it looks like she has indeed accepted the bridge role wholeheartedly and has now also connected Lady Gaga to the grid. And I do not mean just by going platinum blond for the cover but also by channeling the music.

That is why I can say that Bionic must be the easiest CD Aguilera ever recorded. She just referred to the music of those three divas and came out with Bionic. This is also the most electronic album ever recorded by Christina.

Not much birit here. Truth to tell what she has in some cuts is actually robot vocals. Think Lady Gaga for My Girls featuring Peaches. She also goes all Glam and brand name namedropping like Madonna with Vogue. Then because she can really sing R&B she takes the Beyoncé route for I Am and You Lost Me.

Bionic is no epic production like Stripped or Back To Basics. It is just lightweight sounds. As she says in Glam, “Be superficial.” I can say that Christina is just having fun and she seems like the sort of girl who will do any sort of music when she is in that mood.

So prepare yourselves for the variety offered by the other cuts: Woohoo featuring Nicki Minaj, Elastic Love, Desnudate, Prima Donna, Sex For Breakfast, Lift Me Up, All I Need, I Hate Boys, Vanity and the single with the Lady Gaga video, Not Myself Tonight.

My username on LD then was MonsterSlayerFilms and I was the 1st to use this MONSTER SLAYER title and funny how a week later, someone used MonsterSlayer and became a more regular user there. I asked her if she could lend me the name and so that I can use the title officially for my YouTube Channel and fortunately she did. I also thought that is isn't important especially that I'm not the story but rather Xtina...so today I'm clearing this up already!

Here’s some news that will be music to Entourage fans’ ears: Eminem and Christina Aguilera are among the guest stars appearing in the HBO comedy’s season 7 finale, EW.com has learned. The rapper, who released Recovery last week, shot a scene that takes place “at a platinum record party for his album, which by the time this airs will be platinum, I’m sure,” says Entourage creator Doug Ellin, adding: “He has a little conflict—a little beef—with Vince [Adrian Grenier].”

While Eminem won’t be performing in the episode, Aguilera will. Like Eminem, the singer plays herself—but she’s also a client of Ari. “She’s doing Ari a favor and performing at a party for him,” Ellin tells EW.com. The Sept. 12 episode, which Ellin hints is a “pretty dramatic season finale,” also features Minka Kelly (whom Vince has his eye on) and John Cleese, as well as pro athletes such as Super Bowl MVP Drew Brees, Phillie All-Star first baseman Ryan Howard, and NBA players Jordan Farmar and Kevin Love.

Anthony Madler named director for You Lost Me Music Video

Christina Aguilera has hired one of music’s most popular directors for her ‘You Lost Me’ music video. Anthony Mandler has confirmed via his twitter that he will be directing the clip this week. “I love this song I’m working with this week” he writes before making the confirmation. “You Lost Me”. Mandler certainly does not come cheap, since he is now a big name in Pop music’s Elite. Last year, he directed avande-garde music clips for Rihanna, Amerie and Jay-Z. Plus, Beyonce is also one of his biggest clients. It’s good that after ‘Bionic’ was certified moulded cheese, she is still pressing ahead with making things work.

Aguilera bored of her singing style

Christina Aguilera refused to show off her multi-octave singing range while working with M.I.A. - insisting she was "bored" of her trademark vocal style.

Aguilera teamed up with the controversial rapper to write Elastic Love, for her Bionic album, and M.I.A. was looking forward to hearing the pop star belt out the high notes for the song.

But she was stunned when Aguilera decided against it.
M.I.A. tells MTV.com, "Other people were involved who I respect like Peaches and it was like a sea of women coming together to write this new thing. Christina had also had a baby, you know, so it was kind of an interesting situation.

"I really thought I was going to be able to go in there and get her vocals on to the next level and she didn't want to do it. She was like, 'You might think that's great because it's not what you do, but to me I'm really bored of it.'

"It's interesting getting to work with people who can do things vocally that you can't."

Christina Aguilera admits she finds it hard juggling her career with motherhood.

The singer is mum to 2-year-old Max Liron with husband Jordan Bratman. The toughest part is the schedule,' says Christina, 29. 'Balancing that between being a mommy and being able to still concentrate and focus on the work. I'll go and tuck my son in at night and sing him to sleep [with] a lullaby, and then I go in the studio and sing.

'It's definitely a challenge and a balancing act, but one that I take on. I wouldn't have it any other way. Christina and Jordan, 33, are eager to create happy childhood memories for strong Max strong.I really like to let him be creative and give him the freedom to really have fun,' she tells People.

'I think fun is a really big element of life itself, and being able to take in the small things.

'I'm instilling that in him early - being playful, and allowing him to get messy and dirty as a boy and just have fun - to really push for his individuality.

Bionic Review; Aguilera makes no apologies for risky musical gambit

BIGGER ISN’T always better – which is why we’re rallying behind Christina Aguilera’s fourth studio album, “Bionic,” the steel-voiced singer’s unconventional foray into Lady Gaga’s pop-and-electronica territory.

Some people put Aguilera to task for not taking full advantage of her powerful pipes in her latest compilation. But, unlike many eager-beaver wannabes who have more flash than substance, she knows only too well that birit isn’t always a good thing. She says a singer doesn’t have to relentlessly hit those high notes to prove her musicality and vocal worth.

She explains, “OK, I can sing a ballad. But, let’s have some fun thrown into the mix. There’s a side of me that wants to get up, put on a song, and dance to it without going to insane vocal places. You don’t have to try so hard to be ‘acrobatic’ on every song!” – We couldn’t agree more!

Embellishments
The album’s carrier track, “Not Myself Tonight,” debuted at No. 23 on Billboard’s Hot 100, admittedly an underwhelming bow for a superstar like her. But, the dance single has since grabbed the No. 1 spot on the Dance Club Play chart. And, while the tune lacks the catchy riffs of, say, “Lady Marmalade” or “Come on Over,” it nonetheless eloquently demonstrates why Aguilera doesn’t need the “auto-tune” sound and other distracting technological embellishments to show off her pitch-perfect versatility.

“Bionic,” which debuted at No. 3 last week on the Billboard 200, is an offbeat testament to her exceptional musical gifts. Note that elsewhere in the 18-track collection are tunes that are sleeker and catchier than the formulaic “Not Myself Tonight.”

In the bass-filled “Woohoo,” for instance, she trades playful musical jibes with Nicki Minaj, while in “Prima Donna,” she and Lil Jon pepper the song’s uptempo jams with a groove-fueled strut.

Another dance-floor standout: “Glam” may have the derivative swagger of Madonna’s “Vogue,” but Aguilera nevertheless fills it with harmonies that are too seamlessly sung and skillfully arranged to resist.

If you think marriage and motherhood have softened the 29-year-old singer, think again. In the title track, “Bionic,” she boldly declares: “Every day I see myself, I love me even more/Let us not forget who owns the throne.”

“I Hate Boys,” which contains a sampling of Elektrik Cokernut’s “Jungle Juice,” is a welcome display of Christina’s sense of fun and left-of-center humor. Then, she teases – and pleases – in “Desnudate” as she coaxes you to “get naked” with her.

Taste
She sets herself up for failure by coming up with a lineup that sounds too Lady Gaga for some people’s taste. As a result, “Elastic Love” and “Bionic” sound, well, rigid and robotic.

You’ll derive greater pleasure from Aguilera’s slow jams: “Morning Dessert” and “Sex for Breakfast” sound like they’ve been borrowed from Janet Jackson’s discography. They’re sassy, hook-heavy croon-and-groove numbers that display the subtler and softer side to her exquisite pipes. Her no-frills renditions of the haunting “Lift Me Up,” “I Am,” and the piano-backed “You Lost Me” are must-hear charmers.

In her most moving song, “All I Need,” in which she pays loving tribute to her 2-year-old son, Aguilera puts everything – fame, fortune, marital bliss, colorful musical journey, etc. – in perspective. She sings to him, “Tell you my fears, telling you everything/Telling the truth to you gives me wings/Free with my words, free as a bird/I’m flying high (just) looking at you…/ I’ll feed you love/and I hope it’s enough to inspire you through suffering…”

Aren't the moderator/s of that forum don't think at all? The purpose of why I made these videos is quite simple - defending Christina from the comparisons thrown at her. I'm not coming back.. why?
